I'm confident that this is the year where we can get health care done. We're just going to have to really work hard to do it.
- President Barack Obama, March 19, 2009 (audio).
The fight for quality and accessible health care has been going on for over one hundred years. This year is the most promising time for change in our country's history. Over 30 million people, thousands of small businesses, and community members are working together to make 2009 the year America corrects this injustice.
- John Gaudette, State Director for Health Care for America Now
If 2009 is the year for health care reform, we need to make sure it serves our families first. Find out how you can have a voice in the process.
Affordable health care is becoming a thing of the past, between a deepening economic recession and rising costs of coverage. At the same time, health care reform is all over the news. In Washington, D.C., health care reform is at the top of the agenda. What is the status of the proposals under review? How do we make sure that we influence the process?
